Bassett Healthcare Network, in central New York, is seeking a BC/BE Orthopedic Trauma Surgeon to join our staff.
- Salary Range: $588,390 - $690,684
- Sign-on Bonus: up to $100,000
- Location: Cooperstown, NY
Job Description & Responsibilities
- Fellowship training encouraged but not a requirement. This surgeon would have access to an OR for urgent and “cold trauma’ cases in a room reserved for emergent surgery. There would also be time allotted for elective trauma reconstructive practice. There are separate call schedules for Spine and Hand. The practice covers one centrally located ER.
- Join an established group of Orthopedic Surgeons and Advanced Practice Clinicians (APC’s)
- Practice within Bassett Healthcare Network, an integrated system delivering care across an 8-county region
- Become a part of Bassett Healthcare Network, a progressive academic health system and major teaching affiliate of Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons.
- General Orthopedic Call with Orthopedic Hospitalist
- Referral Base of over 150 Primary Care Clinicians
- Dedicated OR Trauma Room
- Full Support Staff including APC’s with Surgical Residents and Medical Student Interaction
- Visa Sponsorship Available
- MD, DO or MBBS
- BC/BE in Orthopedics
- Completion of an accredited USA residency in orthopedic surgery, successful completion of which results in board eligibility
- New York Medical License (or eligibility to obtain)
- BLS Certification Required
- DEA Required
Compensation
- Salary Range: $588,390 - $690,684
- This compensation range represents Bassett Healthcare’s good faith belief of the compensation range at the time of this posting or advertisement. Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards
- Sign-on Bonus: up to $100,000
- Bassett offers Physicians an incentive plan with no earnings cap. Individual performance and productivity can significantly enhance compensation with potential upside realized within the first year of employment
