Title: Clinical Laboratory Technologist II

Location: One Atwell Road, Cooperstown, NY 13326

Job Duties

• Performing clinical laboratory procedures and examinations and any other tests or procedures conducted by a clinical laboratory, including maintaining equipment and records, and performing quality assurance activities related to examination performance, which require the exercise of independent judgment and responsibility, as determined by the department.
• Performing microbiological, virological, serological, chemical, immunohematological, hematological, biophysical, cytogenetical, cytological or histological procedures and examinations and any other test or procedure conducted by a laboratory as defined by title five of article five of the public health law, on material derived from the human body which provides information for the diagnosis, prevention or treatment of a disease or assessment of a human medical condition.
• Performing blood banking which includes the collection, processing, storage and/or distribution of human blood, blood components or blood derivatives.
• Providing prompt and accurate laboratory test results.
• Preparing products for transfusion in support of patient care.
• Correlating knowledge and understanding of theory to independently solve problems and answer questions.
• Prioritizing tasks without intervention from the Technical Specialist/Team Leader or manager/supervisor.
  
  

Job Requirements

What we need from you

Bachelor’s or equivalent degree in Chemistry, Biology, Medical Technology, or Medical Laboratory Science.

1 year of experience as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist.

License from NYS ED as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist, or licensure eligible with a limited permit or limited license as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist.

ASCP certification or equivalent.

1st, 2nd, 3rd shifts and weekends as business needs require.

The salary range for this position is $74,963.20-$112,424.

Pay Range

Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards. The above compensation range represents a good faith belief of the compensation range by Bassett Healthcare Network, and its entities and affiliates, at the time of this posting or advertisement.

USD $74,963.20/Yr.

Pay Range Maximum

USD $112,424.00/Yr.
