Window Technician

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Window Technician is responsible for cleaning all interior and exterior windows and glass surfaces to maintain a clear, polished, and professional appearance throughout the property. This role uses proper tools, techniques, and safety procedures, especially when working at heights, to ensure high-quality results.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Clean interior and exterior windows, glass surfaces, glass light fixtures, mirrors, and frames using proper tools and techniques.
• Remove dirt, smudges, mineral deposits, and debris to ensure streak‑free, polished results.
• Clean and maintain window tracks, sills, and screens.
• Safely operate ladders, lifts, and other equipment when working at heights.
• Follow all safety protocols related to chemicals, equipment, and fall protection.
• Inspect windows during cleaning and report any damage, leaks, or needed repairs.
• Maintain cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring proper storage and condition.
• Respond to work orders and complete tasks in a timely, efficient manner.
• Support the overall cleanliness and appearance standards of the property.
• Communicate professionally with guests and team members during daily operations.
• ALL OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum Degree Required:    High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Years of experience: 0-2 years of experience in window cleaning, resort housekeeping or other equivalent related field.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY:

• Proper window- and glass-cleaning techniques.
• Safe use of ladders, lifts, chemicals, and fall‑protection equipment.
• Ability to work safely at heights.
• Strong attention to detail for streak‑free results.
• Effective time management and task prioritization.
• Ability to perform physical tasks (lifting, reaching, standing).
• Professional communication with guests and team members.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Care and organization of cleaning tools and supplies.
• Ability to identify and report window damage, leaks, or maintenance needs.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing tasks and property needs.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

• N/A

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Regularly walks, stands and lifts up to 50 lbs.

Seldom/never sits or works on a computer.

Additional Physical Requirements:

• Occasionally required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
• Occasionally asked to lift up to 75 lbs.

INDEPENDENT JUDGEMENT:

Performs tasks and duties under direct supervision, using well-defined policies and procedures. Work is reviewed by supervisor. Limited opportunity exists for exercising independent judgment and decision making.
