Maintenance Tech - Tracker Boats

POSITION SUMMARY:   

The Maintenance Tech position is responsible for performing general maintenance, repairs on facility equipment, property structures, and ground maintenance.  All duties to be completed in compliance with EPA, Hazmat and OSHA safety rules and regulations.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Performs minor building, HVAC, plumbing, electrical and painting repairs.

• Maintains inventory of repair equipment and supplies.

• Responds quickly in the event of an emergency, notifies appropriate personnel, and follows safety protocol.

• Implements preventative maintenance measures.

• Completes maintenance work orders as requested.

• ALL OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum Degree Required:  High School diploma or equivalent

• Certificate(s) or License(s):  Certified in use of fork trucks/lifts preferred or willingness to be certified.

• Experience: Minimum 1-year industrial maintenance preferred.

• Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license.

  Ongoing verification of driving eligibility will be conducted to ensure compliance with company and regulatory standards.

• Must be at least 21 years old to qualify for this position.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY:

• Experienced in operating a variety of equipment such as lawn mowers and small hand tools

• Effective written and oral communication skills

• Able to work well with minimal supervision

• Able to drive or learn to drive a forklift, tractor, etc.

• Ability to prioritize tasks and follow specified procedures

INDEPENDENT JUDGEMENT:

• Performs tasks and duties under direct supervision, using well-defined policies and procedures. Work is reviewed by supervisor. Limited opportunity exists for exercising independent judgment and decision making.
