What are the responsibilities and job description for the Housekeeping Dispatcher position at Bass Pro Shops?
Position Summary:
Coordinate the daily work assignments of the Room Attendants as directed by the Director of Housekeeping, Executive Housekeeper, and Assistant Executive Housekeepers. Attention to detail and Guest assistance and service are required. The right candidate is punctual, thorough but fast, and eager to learn.
Essential Functions:
- Prepare daily paperwork for all Housekeeping Associates
- Communicate with Front Office and Engineering Departments
- Communicate with the Laundry Department on linen deliveries
- Organize Associate work duties and ensure Administrative tasks are completed
- Provide professional, friendly service to all Guests and Associates
- Communicate and prioritize the cleaning of rooms with Lead Room Attendants
- Completing and providing the weekly schedule for housekeeping. Maintaining the request off calendar as well.
- Primary contact for all things Hot-Sos for the department.
- Maintaining and completing the weekly attendance book on all associates within the Housekeeping/Laundry departments.
- Other duties as required
Candidate Profile
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Familiarity with computer software word processing and database and spreadsheet (especially Excel) is essential.
- A good knowledge of Housekeeping department duties

Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Other Skills and Abilities: The ability to work well with a team, to prioritize, a sense of urgency and a real concern for guest satisfaction. Must be detailed oriented. Need strong clerical, organizational and communication skills.
