Front and Back Office Medical Assistant

Busy practice seeking an experienced Full-time Receptionist/Medical Assistant in our Walnut Creek office. This position is ideal for an individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, where multi-tasking skills are key. You will have a high degree of responsibility and independence. 

This position will consist of front and back-office duties including:

· Scheduling appointments

· Responding to patient calls

· Prior authorizations

· Data entry into Electronic Health Record (EPIC)

· Scanning and faxing

· Taking vital signs and height/weight measurements

· Preparing/cleaning treatment rooms for patient examinations & procedures

· Assisting MD as needed

· Practicing sterile technique

Requirements

Mandatory qualifications:

· Excellent customer service/interpersonal skills

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills

· Medical terminology

· Comfort with interacting with the elderly and disabled

· Strong computer skills

· Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment Electronic Health Records experience (EPIC)

Strongly preferred qualifications:

· Medical terminology

· Bilingual – Spanish

Requirement:

· 1 years Front and Back Office experience

· MA Certificate required

Compensation will be based on experience 

Pay Scale/Ranges:

$27.00-$34.00/hour (and the hourly equivalent for salaried employees).*

*Employees actual pay rate will depend on a host of factors including, without limitation, job location, specialty, skillset, education, and experience. The patey scale/ranges shown are representative of the pay rates for the job title reflected above, but an employees actual pay rate will be determined on a case-by-case basis.
