Responsibilities
Assist senior electricians with installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems on construction sites and commercial facilities. Learn to interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to support accurate wiring and system layouts. Use hand tools and power tools safely to perform tasks such as conduit bending, wire pulling, and fixture installation. Support the testing of electrical circuits using tools like ohmmeters and multimeters to ensure proper functionality. Participate in safety inspections, adhere to NEC (National Electrical Code) standards, and follow all safety protocols on-site. Help with the installation of low voltage systems, including data cabling and security wiring. Gain experience working with both low voltage and high voltage electrical systems under supervision.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent not required but is a plus; technical training or coursework in electrical technology is a plus. Prior construction site experience or hands-on work with electrical systems is preferred but not mandatory. Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, schematics, blueprints reading, and basic electrical concepts such as NEC standards. Ability to work safely at heights and in various weather conditions on active construction sites.
