Crew Member

Job Summary
Baskin Robbins, Santa Barbara is seeking to add a motivated and flexible member to our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in enhancing customer satisfaction, driving sales, and managing team performance. This position requires a strong focus on learning the business and delighting our guests.

We have a great team and most have been with us for a long time. Pay is $20 per hour and shared credit card tips. Credit card tips average over $3.80 per hour and cash tips are split at the end of each shift.

Preference given to those with cake decorating experience.

Must be able to work at least 2 shifts from 6-9 week.

Duties

• Providing high-quality products and customer service to our great customers.
• Ensuring adequate ice cream and dry goods are stocked.
• Supervising day-time servers and planning duties for evening team.
• Ensuring the store's high standards of sanitation and cleanliness are maintained
• Ensuring that registers are accurately counted.
• Must be able to work 3 day per week, both night and day shifts available. Extra shifts often become available as cover for other crew members.
• Night shift closes at 9.30.
• Prior to hiring, a 30 hour training period must be completed. During this training period both the the prospective crew member will be able to evaluate whether the role is suitable. The training period is paid as a flat $20 per hour as 1099 contractor. Uniforms will be provided.

Requirements

• 18 and over only.
• This is not a role for first time job seekers or high school student. We require at least 2 years previous experience in a restaurant or cafe in a customer facing role.
• Preference given to those with dessert decoration skills.
• Shifts are short and busy. Every minute not serving customers, needs to be used to replenish and prep for the next shift.
• Candidates should possess excellent communication skills, a customer-focused mindset, and the ability to negotiate effectively.
• Current Food handlers card is required.
• Able to work alone without supervision.
• Ability to lift 30lb tubs of ice cream and scoop (it's harder than it looks!).
• 100% commit to clean everything including freezers, restroom, floors etc.
• 100% commit to always wear compliant uniform including apron and hat.
• Current references from previous employers, which will be checked.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $23.00 - $26.00 per hour
