Our Education Studio is growing, and we’re looking for an Interior Designer who’s ready to get hands-on across a range of project types and scales.
In this role, you’ll contribute creativity, technical expertise, and strategic thinking to projects ranging from cutting-edge laboratories and research spaces to student-centered environments such as dining facilities, recreation and athletic spaces, and shared campus amenities. It’s a position built for someone who enjoys variety, takes ownership of their work, and wants to be involved in the full arc of a project—from early ideation to built results.
What you’ll be doing:
No two days are exactly the same, but you can count on a few constants. Including:
- Lead design and documentation from concept to construction completion for diverse projects ranging from small to large
- Advise clients and team on materials and finish options throughout the design process
- Build strong relationships with clients by meeting their needs and specifications
- Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams
- Foster a respectful and engaging studio culture that reflects Baskervill’s commitment to thoughtful, mission driven design
- Execute the approved concept, reliably translating the design intent into Revit utilizing our firm standards
About you:
A great match for our team is someone who has:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree from an CIDA-accredited institution
- 4 years of professional interior design experience
- Proficiency in Revit
- NCIDQ certification
- Knowledge and aptitude in other design software platforms preferred, including but not limited to: SketchUp, Enscape, Adobe Creative Suite, Miro, and Office 365
- A desire to work collaboratively with team members in a constructive and engaged manner
- The willingness to travel, as there will be limited travel required
