What are the responsibilities and job description for the Retail and Rental Ski Shop Associate position at Basin Sports?
Basin Sports is a ski and bike shop located on Killington Road in Killington, VT. We are looking for a candidate who has a passion for the outdoors, enjoys helping customers find the right gear and wants to be a part of our team. You would be working with an awesome team of outdoor enthusiasts and get great industry benefits!
Job duties include, but not limited to:
-Greeting customers in a friendly manner and helping them find the right gear to suit their individual needs
-Ringing out customers using Shopify point of sale system
-Meeting with industry reps to learn about new gear and technologies
-Assist with picking online orders for our website, SkiEssentials.com, when needed
-Able to work with a team, but also work independently
We are willing to train the right candidate, but it is preferred that you have:
-Experience in the outdoor industry
-Customer service experience
-Retail experience (running a cash register, working with a POS system and general computer skills)
-Inventory and stocking experience
-A passion for skiing and/or snowboarding
Must have a flexible schedule and willing to work weekends and holidays. Plenty of opportunity to grow within the company to get your career started in the outdoor industry.
