What are the responsibilities and job description for the Class A CDL Driver w/Hazmat & Tanker Endorsement position at Basin Environmental & Safety Technologies?
Basin Environmental is looking to hire a full-time Environmental CDL Driver / Field Operator for the Oklahoma City area. A Class A CDL with hazmat and tanker endorsement REQUIRED, to perform tasks associated with hazardous waste clean-up, site remediation, equipment decontamination, including transport or handling of hazardous and nonhazardous materials. The job will be physically demanding at times and will require working in all types of outdoor environments.
The ideal candidate should place safety as the highest priority, have a good work ethic, be a team player, and possess attention to detail. Also, candidate must possess a good mechanical aptitude, understanding of work practices related to environmental and all the hazards related to this type of work.
Qualifications:
- Valid driver’s license.
- Valid CDL class A with hazmat and tanker endorsement (required).
- Previous laborer and environmental equipment experience an asset (i.e. Industrial or construction background).
- Ability to perform manual labor (heavy lifting, working in all weather conditions, etc.).
- Ability to travel as business demands require (company paid).
- Must be clean shaven and able/willing to wear a respirator.
- Willing to be on 24-hour call rotation with some weekends.
- Basic tablet or computer knowledge, (able to complete daily work logs and capture documents).
- The ability to read and understand written work-related documents.
- The ability to listen and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences.
