Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients for pizzas, subs, salads, and other menu items according to standardized recipes and safety guidelines
- Operate kitchen equipment such as slicers, ovens, mixers, and food processors safely and efficiently
- Assemble menu items with precision, ensuring consistency in presentation and portion sizes
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations by following proper sanitation procedures and cleaning schedules
- Assist with food handling and storage to uphold food safety standards and prevent cross-contamination
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to coordinate meal preparation and ensure timely service
- Follow all safety standards during food production to ensure a safe working environment for everyone
Experience
- Previous experience in a dietary department or food service environment is preferred but not required; training will be provided
- Familiarity with menu planning, food preparation, and cooking techniques is advantageous
- Experience operating kitchen equipment such as slicers, ovens, or food processors is beneficial
- Knowledge of food safety management practices and proper food handling procedures is highly valued
- Restaurant or catering experience demonstrating strong teamwork and communication skills is a plus
- Basic knife skills including slicing techniques are desirable for efficient ingredient prep
- Prior experience adhering to recipes and safety standards in a fast-paced setting will help you excel in this role
Pay: $13.00 - $18.00 per hour
