The Manager on Duty (MOD) works closely with the Store Manager to ensure a safe and welcoming environment for customers and staff, manages the workflow of floor staff, ensures company policies, procedures, and customer service goals are adhered to.
The MOD, works at least one weekend shift and at least one evening shift. They are responsible for opening and closing, setting up the store, reconciling cash & bank deposits, and locking & securing the premises. They also take initiative and help out with stocking, cashiering and any other store needs when needed.
The ideal candidate will have:
- A friendly, outgoing personality capable of interacting with a variety of personalities;
- Experience in a retail environment;
- Exceptional time-management skills;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
- Willingness to ask questions or seek help when required;
- Ability to work without supervision;
- Ability to manage the workflow of others;
- Ability to remain focused in a busy, distracting environment;
- Attention to detail and critical thinking;
- Good mathematical skills;
- The highest cash handling standards;
- Strong computer skills (especially Spreadsheets and Google Apps).
