What are the responsibilities and job description for the Designer - Men's Underwear and Sleepwear position at Basic Resources, Inc.?
We are looking for a talented Designer to join our Men’s Underwear and Sleepwear design team. This individual will help design and manage different distribution levels and multiple Underwear assortments. The Designer will lead our brand partnership for approvals and brand identity. They will create print and pattern, develop sketches, and CAD recoloring’s. They will also work on creating tech packs in PLM/Centric, organizing charts, and keeping track of samples. We are looking for a great team player and someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Produce unique designs and research new technology/innovations for comfort/performance underwear & Sleepwear
- Create/update design tech packs in PLM/Centric
- Manage calendar dates based on various product lines
- Communicate with overseas factories
- Review and assess development/production samples - checking for quality, and design details
- Manage CAD pages for presentations and Brand approval
- Review all proto and PPS samples that come in daily- checking for quality, spec, and design details
- Work with the Sales team to help service any cad and sample needs
- Create color palettes and trend ideas per season
- Multitask and provide quick design updates based on customer needs
- Research concept, color, mood, & styling through forecasting/trend services. Shop stores, develop and adjust ideas to fit particular brand/market in accordance with the design calendar.
Qualifications:
- 4 years of apparel Design experience
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Advanced experience in Illustrator
- Microsoft Excel and Outlook experience
- PLM/Centric experience is a plus
- Browzwear/3D Design experience is a plus
- Strong organizational and communication skills
Annual salary range starting at $70,000
