We are seeking a highly analytical, detail-oriented Global Customs & Compliance Analyst to join our activewear team to support U.S. and Canada import compliance operations. This role will be responsible for customs entry review, tariff classification, country of origin, valuation, broker oversight, trade program support, and audit-ready recordkeeping.
The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience in customs compliance within the apparel, consumer goods, or related industry and can work effectively across sourcing, production, logistics, finance, vendors, brokers, and legal partners to ensure compliant and efficient cross-border operations.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with U.S. and Canada customs regulations for inbound shipments.
- Assist with the execution and ongoing management of the company’s CTPAT, duty drawback, and First Sale programs.
- Verify, maintain, and manage accurate HTS classifications for all products.
- Respond to CBP CF28 Requests for Information accurately and on time.
- Manage country of origin determinations and marking requirements, and provide guidance to internal stakeholders.
- Use the ACE portal to retrieve data, analyze entries, and generate compliance reports.
- Maintain complete, audit-ready customs records and support internal and external reviews.
- Partner with customs brokers to ensure accurate filings and prompt resolution of discrepancies.
- Research customs rulings, trade laws, regulations, and judicial decisions relevant to compliance matters.
- Help develop and maintain trade compliance policies, procedures, and training materials for internal teams.
- Monitor trade legislation, tariff changes, and regulatory developments, and assess potential business impact.
- Conduct analyses of trade data, systems, regulations, and technical requirements to support compliance initiatives.
- Support senior leadership in coordinating with outside counsel, trade associations, and government stakeholders as needed.
Qualifications:
- 3 years of experience in trade compliance, customs, legal, or regulatory environments.
- Strong working knowledge of U.S. customs compliance requirements; Canada customs experience is a plus.
- Experience with tariff classification, valuation, country of origin, customs documentation, and broker management.
- Licensed Customs Broker, Certified Customs Specialist, or interest in obtaining certification is a plus.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams.
- Excellent research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Responsive, adaptable, and able to work effectively in a collaborative, cross-functional global environment.
- Ability to work on-site in a hybrid work model.
Annual salary range starting at 80,000
