We are seeking an experienced Screen Printing Operator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have 3 years Screen Printing with M&R automatic press. This role is essential for producing high-quality prints that meet our customers' specifications while maintaining a focus on quality control and efficiency.
Duties
- Operate an M&R automatic screen printing press safely and efficiently.
- Set up jobs according to work orders, proofs, garment details, ink colors, and placement instructions.
- Register multi-color prints accurately and make adjustments as needed throughout production.
- Load garments while maintaining proper placement and print consistency.
- Monitor print quality during production, including ink coverage, registration, curing, placement, and garment issues.
- Identify and troubleshoot printing problems such as off-registration, ink buildup, poor coverage, flashing issues, or garment movement.
- Follow production schedules and work with the team to meet deadlines.
- Communicate any art, screen, garment, ink, or production issues to the Production Manager
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Assist with press cleanup, screen changes, ink changes, and end-of-day procedures..
Qualifications
- Previous experience operating an M&R automatic screen printing press is preferred.
- Strong understanding of screen printing production, registration, inks, flashes, squeegees, platens, and curing.
- Ability to read and follow work orders, proofs, and production instructions.
- Strong attention to detail and quality control.
- Ability to stand for long periods and work in a fast-paced production environment.
- Experience printing on multiple garment types, including cotton, polyester, blends, fleece, and performance fabrics.
- Knowledge of specialty inks, underbases, flash timing, and print order.
- Standing, bending, reaching, and lifting throughout the shift.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs as needed.
- Ability to work around heat from dryers, flashes, and production equipment.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
