We are currently hiring for a Sterile Compounding Pharmacy Technician to support our pharmacy located in Wayne, NJ.
This is a full-time, in-office, Monday-Friday, day-shift schedule.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Prepare, fill and compound medications using standard formulas and processes such as weighing, measuring, and mixing ingredients.
- Maintains the pharmacy according to USP 797 standards. This includes maintenance, cleaning, testing, and re-certification of the prep room, ante room, and the clean room.
- Maintain and provide drug usage reports to our pharmaceutical partners as requested.
- Maintains inventory levels of supplies needed by both pharmacy and nursing.
- Perform other tasks and duties as assigned by a pharmacist.
- Participate in the quality assurance programs for patient care.
- Coordinate pharmacy services with nursing services in order to provide safe and appropriate patient care.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Licensed Pharmacy Technician
- Required: CPhT certification
- Compounding experience
- Sterile compounding certification preferred
- Sterile compounding experience preferred
