What are the responsibilities and job description for the Business Data & Production Coordinator position at BASIC CONVENIENCE FOODS?
Position Overview:
We’re looking for a highly organized, numbers-focused individual to manage the critical data that drives our business from pricing and ingredient costs to production schedules and invoicing. In this role, you’ll work closely with the production manager, oversee key internal reporting, and support the shipping, receiving, and production teams. This role requires someone who can juggle financial accuracy, fast paced scheduling, and team coordination and thrives wearing multiple hats in a growing manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial & Business Data Management
- Own and update customer pricing, ingredient cost tracking, and product margin data
- Maintain accurate recipe level cost models and usage breakdowns
- Manage compliance and reporting data (EPR, CAA, and others as needed)
Production Support & Scheduling
- Assist production manager in daily/weekly scheduling for manufacturing runs
- Coordinate customer pick ups, outbound logistics, and on time order fulfillment
- Ensure accurate and timely invoicing tied to production and shipments
Team & Workflow Coordination
- Help oversee day-to-day activities of the shipping/receiving and production teams
- Jump in to resolve issues and keep operations flowing smoothly
- Assist with planning, workflow visibility, and internal communication
Administration & Improvement
- Organize and maintain critical records (production, inventory, logistics, invoicing)
- Identify process gaps and help improve systems and reporting tools
- Communicate effectively with internal teams and external partners
Who You Are:
- Highly analytical, detail oriented, and driven by accuracy
- Excel fluent and confident working with large amounts of data
- Able to prioritize under pressure and stay calm in a fast moving environment
- A strong communicator who can lead through organization and clarity
- Comfortable with long days and shifting priorities when needed
Preferred Experience:
- 3 years in food manufacturing, production support, or a data heavy coordination role
- Strong Excel and data analysis skills (pivot tables, formulas, etc.)
- Experience with QuickBooks, inventory, scheduling, or ERP systems is a plus
- Team coordination or supervisory experience preferred but not required
Salary : $50,000 - $70,000
