We are seeking a professional like you to serve as Supply Chain Manager at our Greenville, Ohio site with direct responsibility for coaching and developing a team of professionals responsible for production planning, finite scheduling, raw material planning, transportation planning/scheduling and all warehousing activities. As a key leader within the Coatings Supply Chain Organization and site leadership team, we will rely on you to direct inventory and planning processes to ensure that materials and products are available when needed to satisfy plant and customer requirements as well as meet ongoing inventory targets. You will be critical to ensuring end-to-end accountability needed in the business to improve delivery reliability, the customer experience, and drive growth for our business in North America while maintaining a strong focus on cost management.

- Coaching and developing supply chain and warehouse staff, as well as providing strategic and tactical direction for the business specific supply chain activities within the Coatings business unit
- Integral member of both the regional Supply Chain Leadership team and the Greenville site Leadership team, contributing to strategic decision-making and operational excellence.

- Demonstrating a thorough knowledge of supply chain management, you will be responsible for integrating supply and demand management into the site, overseeing transportation management and warehousing, and coordinating supply network planning, master production scheduling, inventory management, and materials planning. You will collaborate with channel partners, including suppliers, intermediaries, third-party service providers, and customers, to ensure the seamless flow of incoming raw materials and outgoing finished products within BASF and across supplier companies.
- Utilizing your experience in a manufacturing facility and a warehouse environment, you will ensure resources and tools are available for employees to safely complete their job tasks. Additionally, you will define department SOP’s and ensure adherence to EHS and departmental standard operating procedures as well as looking for opportunities to improve sustainability efforts in supply chain
- Leveraging your strong business acumen, you will oversee our transportation, warehouse, and partners to ensure supply stability and enhance customer performance. You will identify opportunities for service improvements and cost optimization/reduction. Additionally, you will monitor and work to improve Transportation Performance KPIs by collaborating with our dedicated carriers, Corporate Logistics, and transportation procurement teams.
- Your strong knowledge of Supply Chain Management and Manufacturing concepts is essential as you will identify and implement enhancements in departmental policies, processes, and procedures. This will ensure end-to-end accountability within the business, improving delivery reliability and driving growth for the Coatings division.
- Supply Chain or Business degree
- Experience in a manufacturing facility or warehouse environment
- Strong skills relative to project coordination, time management, multi-tasking, and delivering on commitments is critical to this role
- Although not required, certification by the American Production and Inventory Control Society is highly desired
- Superior analytical skills, combined with your thorough knowledge of current SCM concepts and SAP/ERP systems will allow you to develop your team in identifying and implementing cost saving opportunities as well as leveraging best practice supply chain concepts within the organization
- People management and Leadership experience required
