Where the chemistry happens…
Position is responsible for the Sparks Warehouse, logistics/fulfillment activities, and site security operations. Supports Sparks production activities by ensuring raw materials are available and staged for use when needed and finished products are shipped on schedule. Works closely with Quality Control and Supply Chain Planning to ensure raw materials/packaging materials are approved for use upon receipt. Responsible for security operations for Sparks Site and Tifton Distribution Center and manages on-site contract security services.

Maintaining strict adherence to BASF policies and procedures. Interacting with internal and external customers to efficiently provide required services. Reviewing outbound and inbound paperwork to ensure accuracy- Prioritizing workload to maintain efficiency and meet all customer demands
- Planning logistics activities to promote orderly and efficient warehouse operation. Researching inventory discrepancies and non-conformances and taking corrective action
- Assisting in periodic inventory cycle counts and yearly physical inventories to ensure counts are recorded accurately and reported correctly. Ensuring all outbound activity meets DOT, IMDG, IATA, and BASF regulatory requirements
- Supervising resources to ensure even distribution of workload
- Administering disciplinary actions as required with management support as needed
- Providing security staff daily oversight, budgets, and site supervision. Promoting BASF Safety First culture. Managing site security access controls in cooperation with Corporate Security and Site Director. Ensuring safety and compliance with all BASF transportation and distribution safety policies and procedures at the Sparks site as well as the Tifton DC.
If you...
Education:
- Have High School diploma required.
- Have Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field - preferred
- Have five years warehouse/distribution, manufacturing, or similar relevant experience
- Have two years Supervisory or leadership role experience
- Have experience in facility security preferred
- Have strong interpersonal, team building, and communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work within strict deadlines in a fast-paced technical environment.
- Have experience with SAP or similar ERP system, Word, Excel and email
