What You’ll Do:
You’ll be responsible for guiding the day-to-day operations of the nursing team, ensuring workflows are followed consistently, and maintaining high standards of care, documentation, and compliance.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being present with their team, making real-time decisions, and ensuring things run smoothly across multiple sites.
Key Responsibilities:
Core Leadership & Supervision
- Directly supervises nursing staff across all sites, providing ongoing coaching, guidance, and performance management
- Ensures consistent adherence to established nursing workflows, standards, and expectations
- Serves as the primary point of contact for day-to-day nursing operations and staff support
- Holds nursing staff accountable to daily expectations, workflow adherence, and performance standards across all sites
Workflow Execution & Oversight
- Monitors and ensures consistent execution of daily nursing workflows across all locations
- Provides real-time oversight to ensure timely completion of nursing responsibilities, including documentation, follow-up, and order processing
- Identifies workflow gaps and provides immediate coaching to maintain consistency
- Maintains operational continuity by identifying and addressing staffing gaps in real time, including coordinating coverage and stepping in as needed to support patient care and workflow execution
Compliance & Clinical Standards
- Ensures adherence to all regulatory requirements, internal policies, and clinical standards
- Conducts routine chart and workflow audits to maintain survey readiness and quality of care
- Oversees medication processes, documentation accuracy, and safety practices
Provider & Team Coordination
- Supports alignment between nursing and providers to ensure efficient and coordinated patient care
- Ensures nursing follow-up after provider visits is completed appropriately and timely
- Serves as a clinical resource for staff and supports decision-making when escalation is needed
Performance Management & Accountability
- Monitors and drives nursing performance using established metrics, ensuring expectations for timeliness, accuracy, and follow-through are consistently met
- Provides timely feedback, coaching, and corrective action when necessary
- Identifies opportunities for staff development and supports ongoing competency growth
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize.
- Self-motivated, self-starter with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: Associate’s degree in nursing, Bachelor’s preferred from an accredited college or university.
Experience: Three (3) years of outpatient mental health experience in outpatient behavioral health, PHP/IOP settings, psychiatric or mental health facilities, or adolescent-focused programs, including at least (2) year of charge nurse experience.
Licensure: Active RN license in the state of Texas
Certifications: CPR certification and Crisis Prevention Training (CPI) within 30 days of employment and prior to any patient contact.
