Position Overview

We are looking for a dependable, hardworking individual to join our field crew as an Entry-Level Foundation & Waterproofing Technician. This is a hands-on construction position supporting foundation repair, basement waterproofing, concrete leveling, crawl space, excavation, and structural repair projects throughout the Lynchburg area.

No extensive foundation repair experience is required. You will work alongside experienced crew members who will provide on-the-job training in foundation systems, waterproofing techniques, equipment use, and proper jobsite procedures.

What You'll Do

  • Assist crews with foundation repair, waterproofing, concrete leveling, crawl space, and structural repair projects.
  • Prepare jobsites by digging, excavating, moving materials, and setting up tools and equipment.
  • Assist with installing foundation support systems, including push piers and helical piers.
  • Help install drainage systems, sump pumps, crawl space encapsulation, and waterproofing products.
  • Perform construction work in basements, crawl spaces, trenches, and other confined areas.
  • Use hand tools, power tools, jackhammers, and other construction equipment as needed.
  • Load, unload, transport, and organize tools, materials, and equipment.
  • Keep work areas organized and assist with jobsite cleanup.
  • Follow instructions from foremen and experienced crew members while learning proper installation and safety procedures.
  • Communicate professionally with team members, supervisors, and customers.

What We're Looking For

Previous construction experience is helpful but not required. Experience with concrete, waterproofing, foundation repair, excavation, welding, or similar hands-on trades is a plus.

Successful candidates should be dependable, willing to learn, comfortable performing physical work, and able to work effectively as part of a crew.

Requirements

  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving history.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States.
  • Comfortable performing physically demanding construction work.
  • Ability to work outdoors and in varying weather conditions.
  • Willingness to work occasional Saturdays or travel overnight when projects require it.

Physical Demands

This is a physically demanding field position. Team members must be able to:

  • Repeatedly lift and carry approximately 75–100 pounds.
  • Bend, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb, dig, and perform repetitive physical tasks.
  • Work inside crawl spaces, basements, trenches, and other tight areas.
  • Safely use power tools, jackhammers, hand tools, and construction equipment.
  • Remain on their feet and work on uneven surfaces for extended periods.
  • Climb ladders and stairs while carrying tools or materials.
  • Work around dirt, dust, mud, moisture, loud equipment, heat, and cold.
  • Maintain the stamina, balance, strength, and coordination necessary for construction work.

Training & Work Environment

This is an excellent opportunity for someone interested in developing a career in foundation repair and waterproofing. New team members receive hands-on training from experienced foremen and crew members while learning specialized repair systems and construction techniques.

Work is performed primarily at residential and commercial properties. Any changes or decisions that fall outside the approved scope of a project must be directed to the appropriate supervisor or manager.
