What are the responsibilities and job description for the Logicist Specialist position at Baseline Engineering Corporation?
The Logicist Specialist will play a critical role in developing, analyzing, and optimizing logical and system models that support engineering design, automation, and decision-making processes. This role bridges the gap between theoretical logic, systems engineering, and practical implementation—ensuring engineering projects are logically consistent, efficient, and compliant with industry standards.
Responsibilities
Develop logical frameworks, algorithms, and rule-based models to support engineering design and automation.
Analyze engineering systems for logical consistency, redundancy, and process optimization.
Support system architecture development, including requirements traceability and logical decomposition.
Collaborate with design, software, and systems engineers to implement logic-driven solutions.
Create decision trees, logic diagrams, and formal specifications for engineering control systems.
Conduct logical validation and verification of models, simulations, and automated workflows.
Identify inefficiencies and recommend logical process improvements across engineering projects.
Document logic specifications, test cases, and validation reports for internal and external stakeholders.
Provide training and technical support on logic modeling tools and methods.
Qualifications
1 years of experience in logic modeling, systems analysis, or related roles in an engineering environment.
Experience with formal logic methods, model-based systems engineering (MBSE), or rule-based programming.
Proficiency with tools such as MATLAB/Simulink, SysML, UML, or logic modeling software.
Familiarity with automation, control systems, or simulation frameworks.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent understanding of propositional and predicate logic.
Ability to translate complex engineering concepts into formal logical representations.
Effective communication and collaboration across multidisciplinary teams.
Attention to detail and structured documentation habits.
