Job Summary:The Front Desk Receptionist plays a crucial role in providing exceptional service to clients and visitors at our recovery center. This position oversees front desk operations, manages client admissions and check-ins, and ensures a welcoming, organized, and professional environment for individuals seeking support on their recovery journey. The receptionist is responsible for greeting clients, answering questions, assisting with administrative needs, and supporting efficient clinic workflow.

- Support front desk operations including scheduling, communication, and documentation.

Job Duties / Responsibilities
Front Desk & Client Support
- Greet, welcome, and check in all clients and visitors upon arrival.
- Keep the front desk and lobby tidy, stocked, and presentable (forms, pens, documentation, etc.).
- Supervise and support clients in the waiting area while maintaining a calm and professional atmosphere.
- Provide accurate and helpful responses to client questions; address concerns or direct them to the appropriate staff member.
- Answer incoming calls, redirect as appropriate, and relay messages accurately through voicemail, in-person notifications, or secure communication channels.
- Maintain updated logs, records, and documentation as required.
Administrative Duties
- Schedule, confirm, and update client appointments in the EHR system.
- Assist with filing, scanning, forms management, and general administrative tasks.
- Compile and input information accurately as required by the Supervisor.
- Maintain confidentiality and security of all PHI and client information at all times.
- Complete all required training and mandated courses within specified timeframes.

Proven experience in a customer service or front-facing role with experience in the healthcare or recovery field preferred.
Strong communication and people skills; professional and compassionate demeanor.
Ability to multitask, stay organized, and manage a fast-paced environment.
Problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
Reliable transportation.
Proficiency with computers, office equipment, and MS Office (Word, Excel).
Ability to work effectively with culturally diverse groups.
Understanding of substance use disorder and the recovery process (preferred).
Must maintain a professional appearance, including scrubs and closed-toe shoes.
Physical Demands
Ability to sit, stand, and walk intermittently throughout the workday.
Ability to lift, carry, or move items up to 25 lbs occasionally (e.g., office supplies, files).
Manual dexterity to operate office equipment, computer, and phones.
