Technical Order Entry / Customer Service Representative
The Technical Order Entry / Customer Service Representative is responsible for accurately entering complex glass orders, managing customer communications, and supporting custom product quoting. This role requires a strong technical background, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with customers and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities
Enter customer orders involving dimensions (length, width, thickness) and glass type.
Provide customers with status updates and promise ship dates.
Prepare and enter quotes, including commercial project quotes and custom product calculations.
Educate customers on products and processes, helping them select appropriate options and sizes.
Verify order accuracy before submission to the manufacturing team.
Resolve customer issues, trace order progress, and prioritize customer satisfaction.
Perform additional duties and projects as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
High level of professionalism, enthusiasm, and customer service orientation.
Strong organizational and follow-up skills.
Effective problem-solving abilities.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to manage customer needs via phone, email, and in person.
Technical aptitude and familiarity with measurement and product specifications.
