About the Role
Basaran Grinder Corp. is seeking an experienced and highly organized Supply Chain Manager to lead and strengthen our purchasing, inventory, vendor management, and material planning functions. This is a key role within our organization and an opportunity to make a direct impact in a growing U.S. machine tool manufacturing company.
We design and build high-precision grinding machines for demanding industries including aerospace, power generation, and advanced industrial manufacturing. As our company continues to grow, we are looking for a supply chain leader who can bring structure, accountability, and efficiency to our operations while supporting production schedules and long-term business goals.
The ideal candidate will have strong manufacturing experience, sound judgment, and the ability to work cross-functionally with engineering, assembly, accounting, and leadership. This person will play an important role in helping us improve on-time delivery, reduce supply chain risk, and build a more scalable operation.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead purchasing, inventory control, and material planning activities to support production and company growth
- Manage supplier relationships, pricing, lead times, delivery performance, and overall vendor accountability
- Oversee procurement of machine components, fabricated parts, electrical hardware, raw materials, and outside services
- Partner with engineering and production teams to identify material requirements, long-lead items, and critical shortages
- Improve and maintain purchasing systems, inventory controls, and material tracking processes
- Monitor open purchase orders, expedite critical items, and resolve supply chain issues that may impact production timelines
- Identify opportunities for cost savings, alternate sourcing, and improved supplier performance
- Support ERP/MRP implementation and ongoing process improvement across purchasing and inventory workflows
- Develop reporting and visibility tools for management related to purchasing activity, inventory status, shortages, and supply risks
- Help establish a disciplined, scalable supply chain function that supports operational excellence
Qualifications
- Proven experience in supply chain, purchasing, inventory management, or operations within a manufacturing environment
- Strong understanding of production-driven purchasing, vendor coordination, and material planning
- Experience with ERP/MRP systems; Odoo experience is strongly preferred
- Ability to work with BOMs, part lists, purchase orders, and manufacturing documentation
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with excellent follow-through
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, hands-on manufacturing setting
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively across departments and with outside vendors
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general reporting tools
- Experience in machine building, industrial equipment, precision manufacturing, or aerospace-related manufacturing is a strong plus
