Responsibilities
- Operate grounds maintenance equipment including mowers, chainsaws, trimmers, and irrigation systems to keep the course in excellent condition
- Perform landscape maintenance tasks such as planting, pruning, fertilizing, aerating, and overseeding to promote healthy turf and plant life
- Maintain and repair irrigation systems to ensure optimal watering schedules and prevent water wastage
- Conduct regular inspections of the course for hazards or damage, performing necessary repairs or reporting issues promptly
- Use hand tools and power tools safely for tasks like edging, trimming, and debris removal while adhering to safety protocols
- Assist with pesticide management by applying treatments responsibly to control pests and weeds in accordance with regulations
- Support heavy lifting activities involving soil, mulch, or equipment to facilitate landscaping projects
Skills
- Proficiency in irrigation system operation and troubleshooting
- Experience with athletic field groundskeeping and landscape maintenance techniques
- Skilled in using hand tools such as shovels, rakes, pruners, and power tools including chainsaws and trimmers
- Knowledge of pesticide management practices aligned with safety standards
- Ability to operate company vehicles and groundskeeping equipment safely and efficiently
