We are seeking an Instrument Operator to join our Land Surveying Practice based in our Glastonbury, CT office.
Duties will include:
- Holds level or stadia rod at designated points to assist in determining elevations and laying out of stakes for mapping, construction, easements, land and other surveys.
- Familiar with and able to operate all of the instrumentation required for collection and distribution of survey data.
- Cuts and clears brush from line of survey.
- Marks points of measurement with elevation, station number or other identifying mark. Installs stakes as necessary.
- Collect and record electronic and written field notes.
- Transmits survey data to proper files in the computer network, and able to acquire the data for field use.
- Provides field and construction observation support, as necessary.
- Support of other technical staff.
