We are currently expanding our Accounting & Finance department to meet the growing needs of our firm and are searching for a Project Accountant in our Syracuse, NY office. This position is responsible for all billing functions for a particular practice area, including the calculation of accurate billable charges and the final preparation of invoices and the collection activities for the project managers.
Duties will include:
- Review project set up for approval and follows the invoicing needs through an entire life cycle of a project up to and including the closing of the project in our ERP system;
- Monitor unbilled project costs;
- Create complex invoicing templates according to the project contract;
- Prepare backup for invoices or other specific control information at project manager or client request;
- Obtain approval of draft invoices within our ERP system;
- Address project manager comments to create a final invoice and mails to client;
- Respond to clients’ inquiries on invoices;
- Coordinate with the project managers assigned to each project regarding project or invoicing issues;
- Monitor delinquent accounts and in coordination with the project managers, make collection calls; and
- Other duties as assigned and requested by the Corporate Controller or CFO.
