HR Generalist- Carson Valley Health employees only- Full Time

Summary of Position: 

The Human Resources Generalist performs duties at the professional level in the following functional areas: employee relations, training, and benefits management. This position requires excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization. The HR Generalist must be sensitive to corporate needs, employee goodwill and business needs.

Qualifications

Education:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.

Experience:

• 4-5 years of HR Generalist level experience (healthcare preferred).

• Experience with compensation, benefits, employee relations, FMLA, and Workers Compensation knowledge required. 

• Experience with conducting employee investigations preferred.

• Labor relations experience preferred. 

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

• Excellent verbal / written communication skills.

• Able to multi-task and prioritize effectively in a team environment.

• Analytical, ability to track, record and report accurate information.

• Strong skills in MS Excel, and Word.

• ADP HRIS experience preferred.

Essential Functions

1. Provides consistently exceptional care at all times.

2. Performs benefits administration including claims resolution, change reporting and communicating benefits information to employees. 

3. Reconciles all benefit product invoices including medical, dental, vision, Unum, Workers Compensation, etc. 

4. Manages employee benefits plan enrollment/changes. 

5. Organizes annual open enrollment.

6. Administers COBRA for group health plans.

7. Manages FMLA administration.

8. Demonstrates knowledge of Workers’ Compensation program.

9. Processes employee status and salary changes.

10. Monitors employee eligibility for benefits plans. 

11. Ensures compliance with USCIS Form I-9 Employment Eligibility Verification; conduct periodic audit of Forms I-9.

12. Files annual EEO-1 report; maintains records, reports and logs to conform to EEO regulations.

13. Coordinates employee Wellness program.

14. Verifies all qualifying ACA benefit plans have appropriate attestations.

15. Sets up and re-establishes measurement periods annually.

16. Audits employee benefit offerings in HRIS to validate benefit eligibility class, ACA benefit status, offers of coverage, enrollments, dependents, FEIN, date of hire and ADP company code.

17. Updates missing or incorrect ACA status designations and benefit eligibility.

18. Verifies that healthcare value ADP memo codes are set up for each company code.

19. Audits primary position assignments, hire and termination dates within the ADP ACA benefit offerings.
