Barton Family Locksmith is looking for a reliable shop assistant to help with day-to-day operations in our locksmith shop in St. Paul.
We’re a small, family-run business, not a big corporate environment. We’re looking for someone dependable who enjoys working with people and helping keep things organized.
This is a good opportunity for someone who wants to learn practical skills and see how a small business operates.
Responsibilities
- Answering phones and greeting customers
- Cutting keys and helping customers at the counter
- Basic administrative tasks
- Keeping the shop clean and organized
- Assisting with projects around the shop
- Occasionally helping with simple locksmith tasks
Requirements
- Reliable and punctual
- Friendly and comfortable working with customers
- Willing to learn new skills
- Mechanical aptitude or interest in hands-on work is a plus
- Reliable transportation to and from work
- Ability to pass a background check
No locksmith experience required — we will train the right person.
The day usually includes a mix of helping customers, working at the counter, and assisting with tasks around the shop.
