Motor Vehicle Tax Specialist
About the Role
Barton County is seeking a full-time Motor Vehicle Tax Specialist to join our team in Great Bend, KS. The Tax Specialist will be responsible for working with the public to process motor vehicle title transactions and issue new license plates, renew existing vehicle registrations and various other vehicle transactions. Will also assist with the mailing of tax statements, receiving payments of current and delinquent oil and gas, real estate and personal property taxes as well as problem solving and answering customer questions regarding their taxes in person and over the phone. The ideal candidate will be a team player who is detail oriented and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements
- HIgh School Diploma or GED
- Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with high volume of work
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize work effectively
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Must be able to pass pre-employment background check drug screen and Work Fit Evaluation
