What are the responsibilities and job description for the Barton County Detention Officer position at Barton County?
The Barton County Detention Center is seeking women and men dedicated to the safe keeping of prisoners, to include mealtime, activities, and transports to and from court and other facilities. The Sheriff prefers one (1) year law enforcement experience. You’ll work shifts and must have no felony or Class A misdemeanor convictions and a valid Kansas driver's license.
All County positions require a minimum of a High School diploma or GED with the ability to pass a drug screen and pre-employment physical assessment. Starting pay is$17.00 per hour.
