Barton Community College is seeking applications for a creative and
enthusiastic Technical Theatre Director to join our growing Fine &
Performing Arts Department. This position will manage technical and back
of house operations for the Barton Fine Arts Auditorium including
technical direction of mainstage productions as well as other college
and community events. This role facilitates set construction, lighting,
and audio design while ensuring all safety procedures and protocols are
followed during the event production process. Qualified candidates
should have six months to two years of similar experience and hold a
two-year degree, or completion of specialized courses in technical
theatre and/or event management. Qualified candidates will also possess
strong communication and leadership skills to be able to coordinate with
Bartons Theatre, Dance, and Music departments, as well as other college
and community partners. This is a full-time position and will work
non-traditional hours including nights and weekends as needed. To apply
