Position Responsibilities: 20.00% - Implement customer service by providing basic reference, circulation, and technology service to students, staff, faculty, and community members using library services and resources. 20.00% - Complete projects assigned by the Director of Learning Resources & Library Archives
15.00% - Implement processes and procedures for Athletic Study Hall 20.00% - Perform basic circulation and collection maintenance tasks including shelf reading, inventory, and processing patrons' circulation requests 15.00% - Maintain knowledge of library services, resources, and technology 10.00% - Contribute and participate in the library's promotional and marketing 10.00% - Perform general office duties, including answering phones and running errands 5.00% - Performs other duties as needed or assigned Expectations: Maintain strict confidentiality and professionalism Adhere to and implement library's procedures and processes Work assigned schedule at all times and communicate any changes with Director of Library & College Archives
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Experience - Customer service. Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, electronic databases, and basic research skills Other Skills - Interpersonal and customer service skills. Basic office skills. Knowledge of library software Physical Requirements: The work requires minor physical exertion such as short periods of standing, walking over rough uneven surfaces, some recurring bending, crouching, stopping, stretching, reaching, or similar activities. Job may require recurring lifting of lightweight objects with infrequent bending or stopping alternating with the lighter activities. Job requires minimal agility and dexterity. Regular exposure to favorable conditions such as those found in a normal office or classroom. Wages/Other: This position pays $9 an hour.
