Student Employee- Academic Development

Position Description: ADC employees will encourage the learning process and engage with other students. Duties will be assigned to support the mission of the Academic Development Center. Position Responsibilities: 49.00% - Support management of Academic Development Center 25.00% - Assist ADC staff in the planning and oversight of Academic Development Center activities 16.00% - Assist ADC staff with study groups, promotion of events, and student communications 10.00% - Provide peer support of academic skills Expectations: Have a positive attitude and willingness to help others Adhere to strict standards of academic integrity and maintain confidential information Possess strong communication and interpersonal Skills Be able to work in an environment with minimal supervision Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Experience - None required; General office skills preferred Education - High School or GED graduate Other Skills - Ability and knowledge of computer programs (Word, Excel); Ability to keep accurate and confidential records; Interpersonal skills to assist students Physical Requirements: The work is sedentary. Typically, the employee may sit comfortably to do the work.

However, there may be walking, standing, bending, carrying of light items, driving an automobile, etc. No special physical demands are required to perform the work.
