Description for Activity Aide:
Looking for a creative, energetic, caring person for a as a Activity Aide to work in long and short term care facility with residents and patients of varying abilities and needs.
Job Requirements for Activity Aide:
- Leading activities
- transporting residents in wheelchairs
- some light documentation.
- As we serve our clients every day of the year, every other weekend and some holidays are required.
- Hours: 4:00-8:00 PM week days and every other weekend
- Implement and facilitate activity programs
- Follow an activity calendar developed by the Activities Director.
- Facilitate group activities, as well as 1:1 interactions with residents.
- Assist residents with dining during the evening meal.
- Provide necessary adaptations (creative or supplies) to meet individual resident needs.
- Participate in special events.
- Use creative problem solving to address resident needs.
- Communicate effectively with Assistants/Activities Director/other departments
- Maintains a professional demeanor in demanding situations.
- Make independent decisions, follow instructions, and accept constructive criticism.
