Job Summary:
Provides Rehabilitative interventions under the direction of a licensed Occupational Therapist to persons of all ages with physical, cognitive and developmental impairments. The COTA helps restore optimal function in accordance to the physician’s referral.
Minimum Qualifications for the Job:
- Education: Graduate of an accredited program in Occupational Therapy (ASOT).
- Experience: 1 year COTA experience preferred, computer literacy, good communication skills.
- Other: Basic computer literacy and ability to effectively learn new software programs.
• Ability to efficiently operate a variety of automated office equipment such as print/copy/scan/fax machine, calculators, etc.
• Ability to use accurate, clear and concise oral and written communication.
• Ability to work as a team and maintain effective working relationships
• Ability to critically think, analyze, and communicate findings effectively
• Ability to work independently and perform assignments with minimal direction
• Ability and willingness to ask questions when issues are not well-understood
- Other: Basic computer literacy and ability to effectively learn new software programs.
- License(s)/Certification(s): Current State of Alaska Physical Therapy Assistant License in good standing. Current CPR Certification
Internal Hires: Pay rate will be determined based on applicable personnel rule or union contract terms.
