This position is eligible for up to a $40,000 sign-on bonus and relocation assistance up to $15,000 plus 30 days of housing. Contact Human Resources at 907-796-8418 for details.
Pay Information:
This position starts at $5,370.40 biweekly and up depending on experience.
Internal Hires: Pay rate will be determined based on applicable personnel rule or union contract terms.
External Hires: Step placement and rate of pay will be determined based on relevant experience.
Job Summary:
The Director of Nursing Administration is responsible for supervising and coordinating patient care activities. Activities include: assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates daily operations of all hospital departments, scope and activities of all staff, including direct patient care and meeting quality improvement initiatives. Maintains broad knowledge of licensure within clinical, ancillary and support services. Maximizes resource utilization and achieves organizational objectives through continuous improvement and process evaluation for cost effective care and quality clinical outcomes. Ensures compliance with established organizational, professional and accreditation standards, and state/federal laws and regulations. In programs with coordinators in place, supports those leaders in addressing personnel, patient, and operational issues that escalate. Directs and coaches house supervisors in management of personnel, operations, and patient care processes. The Director of House Supervisors has direct supervisory authority over House Supervisors, Central Staffing, and individuals hired into the Float Pool under the Nursing Administration Department.
Minimum Qualifications for the Job:
Education: Graduation from accredited Nursing Program.
Preferred Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Experience: Minimum of five years of current acute care nursing experience with 2 years in a specialty.
License(s): Current State of Alaska Registered Nursing License
Certification(s): Current Basic Life Support BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP. Workplace Violence Prevention training within 6 months of hire.
