Pay Information:
Internal Hires: Step placement and rate of pay will be determined based on applicable Rules or Union Contract Terms.
External Hires: Step placement and rate of pay will be determined based on relevant experience.
Job Summary:
The Director provides strategic and operational leadership for the assigned nursing department, ensuring delivery of safe, high-quality, patient- and family-centered care. The Director is responsible for staff management, budget oversight, regulatory compliance, and achievement of departmental goals. This role partners with physicians, hospital leadership, and interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes, promote professional practice, and support continuous improvement within the organization.
Minimum Qualifications for the Job:
Preferred Experience: Five (5) years’ standard-level licensed experience in applicable department (Ex. Registered Nurse, BH Clinician). Two (2) years of supervisory, management, or charge experience
License: Current State of Alaska Registered Nursing License
Substitution: Master’s in Healthcare Administration and previous experience in specialty area
Certification(s): BLS
