Job Summary:
This position is a licensed and performs their primary duties independently and under general direction of the Mental Health Unit Director. Primary duties include:
Providing individual, family, conjoint, group behavioral health therapy services in an inpatient or outpatient setting.
Conducting individual assessments, including diagnosis, individualized treatment planning, and referrals throughout the service continuum as appropriate.
Providing family counseling as assigned.
Working cooperatively to provide evidenced based practice and utilize standards developed in conjunction with the Core BOPS Psychiatric team which will include an assigned psychiatrist, mid-level providers, and other therapists.
Minimum Qualifications for the Job:
Experience: A minimum of 1 year of experience as a behavioral health counselor.
Certification(s):
Workplace Violence Prevention Training within 90 days of hire
CPI's Nonviolent Crisis Intervention Training within 90 days of hire
RQI BLS
License(s): Current State of Alaska Master’s Degree license such as LCSW, LPC, or LMFT that meets third party reimbursement requirements.
Internal Hires: Pay rate will be determined based on applicable personnel rule or union contract terms.
External Hires: This position starts at $38.69 per hour. Step placement and rate of pay will be determined based upon relevant experience.
