Electrical Estimator/Project Manager

Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Electrical Estimator / Project Manager to join our team in Memphis, TN. We are looking for a versatile professional possessing comprehensive skills in both pre-construction estimating and project management for commercial, industrial and multi-family electrical projects. Specific daily tasks and primary assignments will be determined based on company needs and the candidate's core strengths.

Duties

• Prepare accurate and comprehensive electrical project estimates utilizing construction estimating software programs to ensure all aspects of labor, materials, equipment, and overhead are accounted for.
• Review construction drawings, schematics, and technical specifications to develop detailed project scopes and identify potential challenges early in the planning phase for commercial, industrial and multi-family sectors.
• Collaborate with clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors during the permitting phase to secure necessary approvals while ensuring compliance with NEC (National Electrical Code), NFPA 70 standards, and local electrical building codes.
• Develop detailed project schedules using project management software to coordinate construction timelines effectively.
• Manage project budgets by tracking costs against estimates, controlling expenses, and implementing cost-saving measures without compromising quality.
• Oversee electrical system design integration within larger construction projects, ensuring system functionality aligns with client requirements and safety standards.
• Lead construction site activities by reviewing progress against schedules, coordinating trades, managing contracts, and resolving issues promptly to keep projects on track.
• Conduct thorough review of construction drawings and schematics to verify accuracy before procurement and execution phases.
• Facilitate communication across teams through regular meetings, progress reports, and updates to ensure seamless project coordination.

Experience

• Proven experience in electrical estimating combined with strong project management skills within the construction industry.
• Extensive knowledge of electrical systems design, blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and system integration.
• Familiarity with construction management software such as ProCore, Prolog, Primavera P6, HeavyBid, Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word), and project scheduling tools.
• Hands-on experience managing large-scale electrical projects from initial estimate through completion; including managing budgets, schedules, contracts, and team coordination.
• Deep understanding of electrical building codes (NEC), NFPA 70 standards, permitting processes, and safety regulations relevant to electrical construction projects.
• Strong leadership abilities with a track record of guiding multidisciplinary teams effectively while maintaining high safety standards.
• Ability to review complex construction drawings thoroughly for accuracy; experience working on diverse projects involving electrical blueprint reading and schematic design.
• Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently in fast-paced environments; adept at managing multiple projects simultaneously.

Pay: $80,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
