Position Summary

The Maintenance Assistant provides a variety of standard and unskilled tasks in the maintenance and repair of center grounds and facilities.

Job Skills

• Works closely with and follows directions from the Maintenance Director.
• Maintains building and grounds in a clean, safe, and orderly condition.
• Maintains and repairs basic functions of the center as determined by the Maintenance Director.
• Takes care of the tools and equipment.
• Makes minor repairs on handrails, windows, flooring, walls, ceilings, beds, wheelchairs, geri-chairs, electrical equipment, sprinkling systems, generators, emergency lighting, fire alarms and extinguishers, changes filters on HVAC equipment, carriers, lifts, and stocks supplies.
• Assumes supervisor’s responsibilities in his/her absence.
• Puts customer service first.
• Performs other duties as requested.
  
  
  

Qualifications

• High School degree or GED and basic knowledge of wiring, plumbing, and carpentry.
• Ability to comply with HIPAA laws.
• This position requires that the employee is able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
• Comply with all vaccination and testing requirements as required by state and federal regulations.
  
  
  

Job Type: Full-time

Schedule:

8 hour shift - (Days 8am - 4pm)
