Under the direction of the DON and ADON, the Nursing 3P-11P Supervisor is responsible for the delivery of high-quality and cost-effective health care, while achieving positive clinical outcomes and patient/family and employee satisfaction. He/she is responsible for the overall operations, integration, coordination, and direction of nursing and patient care for the facility during the second shift. Additionally, he/she is responsible for ensuring that care delivery is consistent with the mission, vision, values, and policies of Kimwell Nursing and Rehab and in accordance with accepted standards of practice, state and federal regulations and licensing requirements. This includes mentoring and educating nurses, working with physicians and other medical professionals and serving as a resource to all staff within the unit regarding the quality of services provided. This professional may also provide direct patient care along with the other unit nurses to maintain current skills.

Job Skills
- Current physical assessment skills and comprehensive knowledge of nursing principles required, including the ability to recognize and identify symptoms and manage emergency situations.
- Knowledge of medications, their proper dosage, and expected results.
- Ability to coordinate, delegate, and supervise nursing functions, problem solve and make decisions as necessary. Demonstrate leadership, organizational and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to create a patient-centered environment. Strong interpersonal skills.
- Problem solving skills and ability to lead staff
- Ability to communicate in English both orally and in writing
- Knowledgeable of Kimwell’s policies and procedures, MDS process, State Nurse practice act and state and federal regulations.
- Basic knowledge of computer use.
- Graduate of an approved school of nursing is required.
- Associates Degree in Nursing, 3 years of Nursing Experience Preferred
- Successful completion of experience in leadership (i.e., charge nurse, supervisor, etc.) for a minimum of one year is preferred.
- Must be currently licensed by the State Board of Nursing.
- Experience is preferred in rehabilitative or geriatric nursing.
- This position requires that the employee is able to read, write, speak, and understand the spoken English language to ensure the safety and wellbeing of our patients and visitors at the work site when responding to their medical and physical needs.
- Must provide verification of TST (tuberculin skin test) as required by state law and in accordance with Company policy. TST's will be administered as the work if required.
- Maintains current BLS/CPR certification.
Salary : $45 - $50
