Qualifications
BCBA Certification required
Indiana Teaching License Preferred
Knowledge of mental health/trauma-informed care preferred
Effective Communication And Collaboration Skills
Experience in a public school setting
Experience working with students with autism, emotional, and/or behavioral issues.
Experience collecting data and developing behavior plans for students with autism, emotional and/or behavioral issues.
Experience Working With Community Agencies.
Knowledge and experience with Universal Design for Learning (UDL) and Positive Behavior Instructional Supports (PBIS).
Performance Responsibilities
Travels to school district buildings and professional meetings as required.

Teacher Salary 10 additional days beyond the teacher contract

Performance Responsibilities
- Consult with teachers by providing assistance with teaching strategies, behavior plans and IEP development.
- Serve as a resource to multidisciplinary evaluation teams and members.
- Monitor research and best practices in autism, behavior and emotional disabilities and disseminate information to appropriate personnel.
- Coordinate and manage ongoing staff development
- Conduct student observations and provide feedback to staff.
- Conduct evaluations to help multidisciplinary teams establish eligibility, goals, and strategies for students.
- Work collaboratively with parents, school staff and outside agencies.
- Train, support and supervise behavior technicians in the completion of the 40 hour requirements and skills evaluation to meet the RBT requirements.
- Supervise RBTs and maintain documentation related to supervision requirements.
- Serve as a resource to all BCSC schools regarding functional behavior assessments, behavior plans, training, and building level support.
- Collaborate with the other autism and behavior coordinators
- Perform other reasonably related duties as may be assigned by the Director of Special Education.

- Must be able to respond quickly to various locations in the buildings.
