Qualifications and Desired Experience:
? Possess or have eligibility for appropriate Administrative Credential
? Education - Master=s Degree desirable
? Experience - Minimum of 5 years successful classroom teaching (equivalent experience in a school related position may be substituted for actual work in the classroom)
? Demonstrated ability to work effectively with teachers, parents and students
? Previous administrative experience desirable
Duties & Responsibilities:
To provide administrative assistance to the school principal, assuming responsibility for major portions of school operations, as assigned. Typical tasks:
? Assists the principal in the supervision and evaluation of members of the staff as assigned.
? Responsible for student discipline and behavior and disciplinary programs.
? Supervises the instructional program and provides leadership in curriculum development.
? Plans, organizes and implements a school-wide program for supervision and control of students including conferring with students, parents and teachers to resolve individualized student academic and behavior problems.
? Interprets the educational program to staff, parents and other members of the community when necessary.
? Coordinates and assists in the supervision of extra-curricular activities.
? Supervision of assigned office procedures and office personnel.
? Performs other duties as assigned.
