Barsoum Dental is seeking a part-time registered dental assistant (RDA) who is ready to work in our fast-paced Southern California dental office and is able to positively contribute to our team. This is a part-time job for four days per week.
Candidates must be able to take initiative, problem solve and be a self-starters. Additionally, candidates must be enthusiastic and authentically enjoy helping people. Always providing excellent customer service and looking for ways to contribute to the 5-star reputation we have built with the community and online.
Applicants must have 2 years of experience and be up to the rewards and challenges of a fast-paced, 5-star dental office.
No upselling. No recall or production goal pressure.
We use Open Dental Software and take digital x-rays using Dexis.

Duties and Functions
- Assisting the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures
- Taking dental radiographs (x-rays)
- Asking about the patient's medical history and taking blood pressure and pulse
- Serving as an infection control officer, developing infection control protocol and preparing and sterilizing instruments and equipment
- Helping patients feel comfortable before, during and after dental treatment
- Providing patients with instructions for oral care following surgery or other dental treatment procedures, such as the placement of a restoration (filling)
- Teaching patients appropriate oral hygiene strategies to maintain oral health (e.g., tooth brushing, flossing and nutritional counseling)
- Taking impressions of patients' teeth for study casts (models of teeth)
- Performing office management tasks that often require the use of a personal computer
- Communicating with patients and suppliers (e.g., scheduling appointments, answering the telephone, billing and ordering supplies)
- Helping to provide direct patient care in all dental specialties, including orthodontics, pediatric dentistry, endodontics, periodontics, and oral surgery
Pay:
- RDA Salary depends on experience, $20.00 and up.
