The Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is a high-quality program that prepares individuals to be responsible and respected nursing professionals. The program offers a Traditional as well as an Accelerated Option for qualified individuals.
Barry University’s School of Nursing seeks a dynamic and innovative full-time (12-month) faculty member to join our interdisciplinary team of healthcare experts. This position will be dedicated to our undergraduate nursing programs (BSN).
The program aims to prepare the next generation of nurses with a focus on social determinants of health and health promotion as it applies to clinical practice, education, research, and health policy.
Essential Functions
- Teach undergraduate-level courses in the discipline and program core
- Participate in academic advising
- Provide student mentorship and advising.
- Engage in program, college, and university services
- Engage in scholarship
Qualifications/Requirements
- An earned MSN degree is required; a doctorate in nursing or a related field is preferred from a regionally accredited institution.
- Active Florida Registered Nurse (RN) License
- Acute Care/ ICU Experience Required
- Evidence of distinguished teaching, scholarship, service, and student mentorship; preference given to those candidates eligible for appointment at the rank of assistant/ associate professor
- Strong clinical background and teaching experience preferred, particularly in Medical-Surgical Nursing, Psychiatric Nursing, Pharmacology, Pathophysiology, and/or Health Assessment.
- Demonstrated commitment to promoting knowledge & truth, inclusive community, collaborative service, and social justice.
