Job Summary
Barry's Chevrolet is growing With new equipment installed, our service team is seeking a talented and motivated Automotive Technician. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive repair and maintenance, with experience working on various vehicle makes and models, including GM vehicles. This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining vehicles to ensure optimal performance and safety. Technicians utilize advanced diagnostic tools and mechanical expertise to deliver exceptional service to our customers.
Duties
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive electrical systems, schematics, and diagnostic tools to identify issues accurately.
- Conduct repairs on powertrain components, transmissions, and diesel engines, ensuring compliance with manufacturer specifications.
- Execute vehicle maintenance tasks such as oil changes, brake repairs, wheel alignments, and suspension work.
- Perform wheel alignments and steering system diagnostics to improve vehicle handling.
- Interpret technical manuals, schematics, and manufacturer service bulletins.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to safety standards at all times.
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs clearly and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Experience
- Dealership experience preferred, but not required.
- Proven experience with automotive diagnostics, electrical systems, and mechanical repairs.
- Knowledge of GM vehicles is a plus.
- Experience working with gasoline and diesel engines, performing maintenance on various vehicle types including trucks is desirable.
- Strong mechanical knowledge combined with the ability to use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment effectively.
Pay: $ $45.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
