Gourmet Sales Manager in Hospitality role, is responsible for achieving sales targets in the Florida region, continue the footprint and growth of our partnership with customers in the area, and execute strategic initiatives. This role represents the entire range of company brands and products under chocolate, compounds, cocoa and inclusions, to service our customer set in the region, penetration of market using existing and new product innovations.
The role offered is to bring our expertise in the industry to support, maintain and growth new relationships within our customer based, influencing functions within the customer’s organization in collaboration with procurement, R&D, quality and innovations. Who prefers to align and use Barry Callebaut products. Having the responsibility for a book of business with revenue/volume targets and profitability, tag along with growth of new relationships of potential customers and footprint in the market.
Job Responsibilities Include
● Develop territory sales plan aligned with annual brand business plans and region objectives.
● Research and develop a strategy for segment of Hospitality, based on clients based in the state of Florida. Within the scope of Hotels, Resort, Restaurants, fine dining, chains, semi-industrial manufacturers across the North Florida region/target area.
● Manage direct end users’ visits, and distributors accounts according to established sales and revenue goals.
● Develop effective relationships with Sales Managers from distributors and key end-user accounts to drive distribution volume.
● Maintain effective sales forecasts.
● Research new leads and targets for market development via Distribution.
● Maximize contribution margin according to established goals with aggressive price and promotion management, contract management, monitoring/assisting with A/R balances, clearing deductions, production and supply chain resolutions, and new product development projects.
● Create and deliver sales presentations, business reviews, and product recommendations effectively.
● Develop and manage sales expense budget.
● Work cross functionally with internal support to provide customers with pricing, contracts, marketing campaigns.
● Use Salesforce to log opportunities, track activity and progress, forecast and evaluate business alignment.
● Ensure that a high professional level of customer service is maintained via resolution of complaints, troubleshooting product supply chain problems, client visits, industry networking, participating in trade shows, gourmet chocolate training to distributor’s sales network, etc.
● Maintain up-to-date awareness and developments in the Food Service Distribution and End consumer landscape for the target market.
Scope:
● The scope of the role is US, Florida market, North of Florida (Orlando, Tampa, Clearwater, Jacksonville, Destin and surrounding areas). Candidate to be based in Florida.
● Travel Requirements:
● Available for overnight travel up to 60%, depending on business needs, within Florida region, and some other adjoining states if necessary for special events or training purposes.
● Must have reliable transportation and be in the field calling on customers, up to 50% of the work week.
● Must attend regional events and shows, as well as national meetings.
About You
● Bachelor’s degree preferred.
● Culinary background preferred.
● 5-7 years of Sales/Marketing experience in the food retailed industry, developing and, managing larger foodservice account opportunities along with regional foodservice chains.
● Essential skills on Microsoft programs.
● Chocolate industry, sweet ingredients, desserts, or bakery knowledge is preferred.
● Experience with Salesforce preferred.
